Originally from Dartmouth, NS, Matt Mays & El Torpedo released their debut on Sonic Records in 2005. Co-produced with Don Smith (whose credits include work with Tom Petty, Keith Richards, and Bob Dylan), the album was recorded at The Sonic Temple. The band is currently working on a follow up with UK based producer Chris Tsangarides.
Matt also has two JUNO nominated solo albums to his credit: the self-titled first album in 2003, and the ambitious film When The Angels Make Contact soundtrack, released in 2006.
