- Write media releases, biographies, profiles, features, speeches, radio and television scripts and other communication materials.
- Write, design and produce newsletters, posters, print ad mats and brochures.
- Create media kits, including development of biographies, photos, quote pages, media clippings, pitch letters, creative packaging, and other promotional materials.
- Plan and manage events, including media conferences, album launches and other corporate events.
- Plan and implement publicity campaigns regionally and nationally, including writing and distributing media releases and securing maximum coverage (features, interviews, reviews, etc.) through follow up.
- Research, plan and implement advertising and marketing campaigns, including negotiating media buys and sponsorships, developing print, radio, television and outdoor ads, coordinating direct mail and email campaigns, etc.
- Develop innovative cross promotions with retailers, venues, media, etc.
- Liaise with photographers, including coordinating photo shoots and selecting, reproducing and printing photos.
- Work with graphic designers to design and lay out biographies, media kit packaging, brochures, newsletters, concert programs, flyers, onsite displays, signage, album artwork, and other promotional materials.
- Work with website developers to create and design websites.
- Research, plan and organize live performance tours for musical artists and comedians, including venue selection and negotiation, ticket pricing and sales, advertising, marketing and publicity.
